Who is Illumino Lighting?
I’m a qualified Electrical Craftsman and am currently in my 29th year working for the Isle of Wight NHS Trust Estates Department. I’ve always been creative and have been able to produce pretty much anything I put my mind to. One day while landscaping my garden I came across a half buried metal Petrol Can. I dug it up, it was still intact and in very good condition considering. Being electrically minded I thought, “That would make a great lamp.” So I ordered some parts and that weekend I set to and created what was to become my very first lamp.
Some weeks later a very good friend and work colleague of mine gave me an old 1961 Gas Meter. A week or two later it became my 2nd lamp.
The black with a touch of red theme sort of just fell into place so I continued to search out items that I could transform. Over the next year or so I built up 10 different lamps, all with the same theme of black with a touch of red. Friends and family considered them pieces of art and some said I really should sell them.
So here we are with the birth of Illumino Lighting.

What is Illumino Lighting?
Illumino Lighting are creators of bespoke industrial lighting from unused, old items. We’ve made lighting from things such as Old Gas Meters, Tools, Old Heaters, Vinyl Records and can make you a lamp from pretty much anything.
We take an item, clean and restore it, paint or protect it, convert it and test it to create a bespoke lamp that nobody else will have. It can be designed by us, by you or together to end up with exactly what you have in mind.
Maybe you have something old and beyond use, but it has sentimental value. We can bring new life to your item so it can live on in your lives forever.
